Summary

Tinghai Zhang received his Ph.D. in Economics from Renmin University of China, Beijing in 2015. Prior to attending graduate school, he worked in import and export corporations and worked for a Sino-US joint environmental protection company. As a visiting scholar, he paid a 14-month visit to the University of Nevada, Reno, NV 89557, USA. His current research interests focus on China’s city-industry integration and spatial effects of industries.

Research Interests

His research interests encompass industrial economics, urban and regional economics, and international business.

He has published more than 70 papers in journals, 3 monographs in economics, and 2 textbooks as editor-in-chief or associate editor. He received funding supports of 1 project each from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, and the National Education Science Foundation, and more than 20 projects from provincial and ministerial science fund, with a total funding support of more than 2 million RMB yuan.
