Liu Min was born on May 9, 1975 in Bengbu, Anhui, She has been working in AUFE from December 2001 after graduating with a master's degree. During this period, she obtained a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in March 2008, and went to the University of Cork, Ireland as a visiting scholar from September 2015 to April 2016.

Liu Min has successively taught undergraduate courses such as E-commerce, Industrial Economics, Futures Market, Cotton Futures, and postgraduate courses such as Futures and Options and Circulation Cooperation. Liu Min's research fields are concentrated in the field of commodity circulation and commodity futures and options markets. From 2008 to 2012, she presided over the completion of the Ministry of Education project, named Derivatives Market Institutional Innovation and Energy Security-Taking Petroleum as an Example, and from 2015 to 2018 presided over the completion of the key project of Anhui University Humanities and Social Sciences Base, named New Agricultural Products Circulation Cooperation in E-commerce Environment Model research, participated in a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, and presided over a number of school-level scientific research projects. In 2010 and 2012, she successively published monographs Research on Price Volatility of Petroleum Financial Derivatives Market and Energy Derivatives Trading Market Innovation and Energy Security-Taking Petroleum as an Example, and published many scientific research papers.
