Our university held a forum on school-enterprise cooperation with Bengbu Bureau of Economy and Information

In the afternoon of September 4th, Yiping Xie and Tinghai Zhang, who are deputy directors of Bengbu Bureau of Economy and Information, visited our university for investigation and discussion on school-enterprise cooperation and other related issues, together with some other leaders of relevant departments of the Bureau. A forum was held in the Meeting Room 301 of School of International Trade and Economics, located in No.2 Administrative Building of the Eastern Longhu Campus. Leaders attending the forum included Xiaobing Xing, the dean of School of International Trade and Economics; and Wanjun Xia, the dean of Institute of Statistics and Applied Mathematics. Also, representatives of teachers, including Shishu Yin, Jiaqun Wang and etc, attended the forum.

 

Wanjun Xia welcomed the visitors and introduced the responsible personnel of our university. Starting from the number of majors, rating and staff quality, Wanjun Xia introduced the current situation of Institute of Statistics and Applied Mathematics to leaders from the bureau, laying a foundation for the discussion on the establishment conditions of Institute of Modern Industry. Then the two deans introduced the employment direction and innovation of some majors in their schools. After that, Yiping Xie introduced their participants as well as the current status of the industrial development in Bengbu, and then their heads of every departments introduced the situation of their responsible industry in turn. The two sides also discussed the documents issued by General Office of Ministry of Education and General Office of Ministry of Industry and Information, analyzing deeply on the establishment conditions of Institute of Modern Industry.

 

This forum is of great significance for promoting school-enterprise cooperation and tightening the combination of talent training with industrial demand. Also, this forum has considerable guiding significance for the direction of talent training in our university.
